Simone Margulies today assumes the role as President and CEO of Axfood. She succeeds Klas Balkow, who previously has announced his decision to conclude his executive career.
Most recently, Simone Margulies was Managing Director of Hemköpskedjan AB, and prior to that she had the role as Deputy CEO of Axfood’s purchasing and logistics company Dagab. In total, Simone has more than 18 years of experience in food retail.
– I am both honoured and very happy that the Board of Directors has given me their confidence, and with much enthusiasm I am ready to get going. There is so much capacity in this company, and I look forward to work together with all driven employees to write the next chapter in Axfood’s history and to take additional steps towards being the leader in affordable, good, and sustainable food, says Simone Margulies.
In addition, Shoan Etemadi, formerly Deputy Managing Director and Head of Sales
of Hemköpskedjan, today assumes the role as new Managing Director of Hemköpskedjan.
